An EMDR Consultant is an approved EMDR Practitioner with additional training and experience who is able to undertake the tasks of consultation or supervision of EMDR practitioners. EMDR Europe has accredited the consultants below as reaching at least the following standards or their equivalent:

He/she is licensed, certified or registered in the country in which he/she practices as a mental health professional, with at least two years’ experience in the field of licence/certification/registration.

He/she is an approved EMDR Practitioner with at least two years’ experience, who has completed an EMDREA-approved training programme and additional training.

He/she has conducted at least 300 sessions with no less than 75 clients in which EMDR is used.

He/she has received at least 10 hours of supervision of their consultation skills.
(EMDR Europe accredits the listed consultants as reaching the above standards but cannot accept responsibility for the competence of these consultants).
