EMDR Europe
The EMDR Europe Association is the coordinating body for national
EMDR professional organization. Membership of the Association is offered
to full members of each constituent European national EMDR association recognized
by EMDR Europe. EMDR Europe is also an affiliated member of the EMDR International
Association, EMDRIA. There are currently 14 member countries recognized by EMDR Europe and others in the process of joining. Current member countries are:

The EMDR Europe Association exists to:
- Establish, maintain and promote the highest standards of excellence
and integrity in EMDR practice, research and education throughout Europe.
- Promote the development and spread of EMDR throughout Europe in
order to stimulate and foster international understanding of the potential
of EMDR to diminish human suffering from past trauma, and to interrupt the
cycle of distress and violence by which new trauma is created.
- Support the establishment and development of national EMDR associations
in all European countries, each with its own constitution.
In order to achieve this, the EMDR Europe
Association:
- Promotes and coordinates training of EMDR across constituent European
countries.
- Maintains a register of qualified EMDR clinicians, consultants
and trainers.
- Holds an annual conference.
- Distributes a newsletter to members.
- Supports the innovative development of EMDR.
- Supports research into EMDR.
- Informs the general public about EMDR
